The Simple Woman's Daybook Volume 1

For today, October 5 2009
Outside my window... It's dark. But today was sunny again after days of cool, cloudy weather.

I am thinking... about visiting my Gramma tomorrow.

I am thankful for... a beautiful, healthy family.

From the learning rooms... I'm planning to do another fall-themed project this week. I think it'll be the mosaic leaves and will try to remember to take pictures of the process this time!

From the kitchen... a wonderful meal of pork steak, buttered noodles, and steamed broccoli--all made by my dear husband while I was at work this evening. Wow! I still have to think of something for tomorrow.

I am wearing... jeans, socks, a stretchy top, and a long, warm sweater.

I am creating... new nfp users.

I am going... upstairs to check on my crying boy.

I am reading... Belong to Me by Marisa de los Santos and The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. However, I am not very good at reading two books like this at once, so they are both unfinished and due at the library on the 8th! I hope I can renew them both. Plus, I'm expecting my copy of Still Alice for book club to come in soon. Ah! I'm not that fast of a reader!

I am hoping... that my little boy is not getting sick.

I am hearing... the refrigerator working and the quiet hum of the computer in my lap.

Around the house... there is a basket of the boys' laundry to be put away on the dining room table and other laundry-related projects that I'd rather not think about right now.

One of my favorite things... is nursing my baby boy to sleep while cuddling in the bed with him so close to me and feeling his little baby body so warm and snuggly and curled up to fit so perfectly next to mine. I love how we fit together and I love listening to all of his little happy eating sighs and swallows. Could there be anything more perfect in the world? (Could I swoon any more over that little baby? It's affecting my sentence structure!)

A few plans for the rest of the week: visiting my grandparents tomorrow, doing another fall project probably the next day, trying to stay above water in the way of laundry/dishes/messes, making some appointments for the dentist and well-baby checks, my sister's 18th b-day party on Sunday.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

This is from a year ago already!
(Could these boys look any more different from eachother?)

The Daybook for Simple Women is hosted by Peggy. Go be inspired!

  2. My first two boys didn't even look related!! So I know how you feel :)

What do you mean by "creting new nfp users"...do you mean turning people on to NFP so that they start using it? If so, then CONGRATS!! What a great example you are.

  3. Colleen: Yes, and thanks! I'm a FertilityCare Practitioner for the Creighton Model and I held an Intro Session for two new couples yesterday. (Yay!)

  4. Nice Daybook but oh, you caught me with one thing in particular: nursing! Boy, I can't wait. I love the cuddling and the warmth and the same things which you described! Enjoy! :)
